When philanthropist and entrepreneur Kim Blickenstaff met Ray Fauber in 2019, they immediately bonded over their passion for antique cars. What began as a documentary film featuring Ray's car collection quickly evolved to focus on the man himself - his passion for the land, his family, and community.

Ray grew up on the Fauber Homestead located in Spring Bay. He met the love of his life, Eleanor ​and in 1972, they began a close association and partnership with St. Jude Midwest Affiliate. Over the years, their dedication to St. Jude has grown into a lifelong partnership. Hearts of Gold tells the story of a local hero whose life has impacted so many.

All proceeds benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Messiah has never gone out of style since its first performance in 1742, but here also is a tradition extending back to the 18th century of revising this work to fit current tastes. Here we present a 1992 arrangement recasting this familiar work in Gospel and jazz styles. As undisputed expert in the fine art of making hit music, Jim Messina's legacy of musical genius spans five decades, three super groups, a vibrant solo career, and scores of producing and engineering credits.

While acting as producer/audio engineer for Rock & Roll Hall of Famers "Buffalo Springfield," Messina ultimately joined the band as its bass player. When "the Springfield" disbanded in 1968, Jim and fellow bandmate Richie Furay formed "Poco." With Jim on lead guitar, Poco defined a new musical genre, country rock. After three successful albums, Jim was ready for a change and left to return to his passion for producing music. He signed as an independent producer with Columbia Records.

In November 1970, Columbia asked Jim to work with an unknown Kenny Loggins. While helping Kenny get ready for a record and touring, the two discovered that they worked well together and Jim agreed to sit in on Kenny's first album. "Kenny Loggins with Jim Messina Sittin' In" was released in November of 1971 and an accidental duo was formed. Over the next seven years, Loggins and Messina released eight hit albums, had scores of hit songs, and sold over 16 million albums. They had become one of rock's most successful recording duos ever, but it was time for the duo to go their separate ways.

After a series of celebrated solo accoustic tours, Jim formed a band made of acclaimed musicians who have played with him at various points in his career. His latest release, "In the Groove," includes selected hits from all three of Jim's previous bands, as well as several of his solo works. Touring the country and playing sold-out shows, Jim says that he's enjoying discovering who he is, where he's been, and, most significantly, where he's going.

Davina Sowers and The Vagabonds have created a stir on the national music scene with their high-energy live shows, musicianship, sharp-dressed professionalism, and Sowers' commanding stage presence. With influences ranging from Fats Domino and Preservation Hall Jazz Band to Aretha Franklin and Tom Waits, the band is converting audiences one show at a time, from Vancouver to Miami and across Europe. In 2011, Davina released her first full length, all original album Black Cloud. It was named one of the 10 best releases of the year by the Minneapolis Star & Tribune and awarded 4.5 stars from Downbeat Magazine. Their next release in 2014, Sunshine, hit number 13 in the Billboard Blues Chart and led them to landing a performance on the hit BBC show, Later, with Jools Holland. Davina and The Vagabonds shows are filled with New Orleans charm, Memphis soul swagger, dark theatrical moments that evoke Kurt Weill and tender gospel passages. Davina's voice and stage presence defy category in a different way. Born and raised in Peoria, Victor graduated Peoria High and was captain on the Lions' football team that won the 2016 Class 5A state championship. On January 30, 1969, The Beatles performed an unannounced concert from the rooftop of their Apple label headquarters building at 3 Saville Row, within central London's office and fashion district. The impromptu live set was the culmination of sessions that resulted in the album and film "Let It Be" (currently expanded into the documentary film "Get Back"). Within less than a year the Beatles as a band were no more, and the members began prolific solo careers that continued producing memorable music throughout the following 50+ years.

On January 30, 2022, The Scottish Rite Theatre proudly presents a live tribute to the Beatles collectively and individually, covering the entire "Let It Be" album and a wide selection of solo material from John, Paul, George and Ringo. The show will feature many of the area's most established and respected musicians from such area groups as The Nikbeats, Kool Ray & the Polaroidz, Ready Steady Go, Johnny Quest, The Bogart Jones Band, the Matthew Curry Band, and others.

One year ago, a massive warehouse explosion rocked Beirut, Lebanon, killing hundreds of innocents and displacing 300,000. Among the most prominent local populations of central Illinois are thousands of Americans whose family members immigrated from Lebanon. On this anniversary, the Peoria Riverfront Museum presents an unprecedented contemporary art exhibition featuring donated art from artists of Lebanon and a piano concert in partnership with the Scottish Rite Theatre. The concert features Dr. Tony Karam, renowned Lebanese physician and classical pianist.

Proceeds from this event will benefit relief efforts through the Lebanese American University Medical Center, a qualified U.S. 501(c)(3).

The time has come: The Scottish Rite Theatre officially opens to the public on Halloween weekend! We are beyond excited to welcome you inside these doors for our big opening weekend with a very special production of Sweeney Todd: The Bloody Barber Meets Ballet by Central Illinois Ballet (CIB).

Join us for two nights of performances - in costume if you'd like - and experience the newly renovated Scottish Rite Theatre October 29-30 for the first time since the completion of our months-long restoration of this beautiful space.

You are sure to be on the edge of your seat laughing at the quirky Tobias Ragg, moved by the plight of Johanna, and thoroughly spooked by Mrs. Lovett's questionable meat pies. Don't miss this premiere by CIB dancer and choreographer Jessie Williams in her very first full-length ballet with this company!
